The Week of Rage is a series of tribute weeks in honour of SEGA’s classic side-scrolling beat-em-up Streets of Rage.
You can check out articles from The Week of Rage Stage One and Stage Two by clicking these links.
The aim is to celebrate these classic games and showcase the strong fan community they still hold today. With the help of several key players within the fan and homebrew scene, I have been able to create a great collection of articles surrounding the series.
I have also hosted a Streets of Rage 4 petition, created by Matthew Drury, creator of Streets of Rage.net, the world’s largest fan community.
Matthew aims to eventually show this petition to SEGA in the hope that they will get around to doing a modern sequel to the series and to prove that the Streets of Rage series still garners a massive, ever-growing fan base.
If you are a fan of Streets of Rage or even just retro games in general, we would appreciate it if you could take a spare second and sign the petition via the link below.
Let’s show SEGA that there’s still a lot of love for the Streets of Rage.
Thank you,
Dave

C’mon. You want Sega to fuck up another classic franchise?
Remember Golden Axe: Beast Rider?
shudder
Yeah I remember it, it’s absolutely shite.
If Matthew presents his petition to SEGA, they would have to have a chat about it. I’m pretty sure Matthew will suggest that they keep it old school in 2D.
Unless people don’t sign it, we’ll never know right?
Dave
Streets of Rage 2 is one of my all time faves. I’m signing it right now !!
